Mixed Media on Rust Collagraph

22"x 30"

A special environmental art project that sees the artist each day compare the temperatures in his back yard with 50-year averages for the region, and then to place a color-coded ice cube on the appropriate date space on calendar sheets that each month are placed on outdoor hanging easels. The color-coded ice cubes are either warm or cool values and represent the difference in current and long term temperatures, or a visual statement about climate change in his backyard.
